The event was great sucess, raising over $1,100 for Maury Magic Riders.

Maury County Mounted Ministry raises $3500 for Maury Magic Riders

The Maury County Mounted Ministry, raised over $3500 during their 6th annual benefit trail ride. This was the first year that it was held at the Why Not Ranch. Even with it being rained out twice, the event was a huge sucess. Over 50 people came to ride, eat and participate in fellowship and a lively auction.

We hope everyone enjoyed the riding demonstration and all of the day's activities.

We are greatful to the Mounted Ministry for their time and efforts, the Why Not Ranch for graciously allowing access to their facilities, all of the businesses and individuals who donated items for the auction, and to all of you who came out to support our cause.

Thank you McDonalds of Columbia, Pepsi, and Sundrop for donating food and drinks to our recent fundraiser.

Thank you to the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club

In 2009 Maury Magic Riders recieved $1000 from the Maury County Bridle and Saddle Club which was used to help pay for veterinary care for our horses. The Bridle and Saddle Club has given us money in the past which was used to help build the our barn. We are very thankful to the Bridle and Saddle club for their continued support.

In an effort to maintain the health and well being of our therapy horses Maury Magic Riders is looking for caring individuals, groups, or clubs as sponsors to help offset some of the costs. Your donation of $1000 for one Year, $500 for 6 months, or $250 for 3 months is tax deductable. To see which horses are available for sponsorship, please visit the "Meet our Horse" page listed in the left hand column.

For the third year Maury Magic Riders received $500 from the Allstate Foundation. Cindi Nickle was awarded the Agency Hands in the Community Award which comes with the grant for our organization. Cindi has volunteered for Maury Magic Riders for 3 years. She helps out with lessons and exercising the horses. Thank you to Cindi and Allstate for their support of Maury Magic Riders.

At our January meeting Maury Magic Riders received a check for $500 from the Tennessee Walking Horse Trainers Association.

The United Way of Maury County has been a gracious supporter of Maury Magic Riders for many years. In 2008 we received a grant for $3,000.
