Meet Our Instructors

Andrea Lowrey is our newest instructor.  She completed the year long process of becoming a NARHA Registered Instructor in December.  She lives at the farm, along with her husband and daughter, and cares for the horses.  She has been riding for about ten years.   We are very grateful to have her and her family. 

Stephanie Geddie became a NARHA Registered Instructor in August of 2003. She has been riding all of her life and began volunteering with a therapeutic riding program in Birmingham, AL when she was 13. "I always knew that this is something that I wanted to do." She graduated from Judson College in 1996 with a BS in Psychology, and a Minor in Equine Science. Stephanie currently works at the King's Daughter's School. She says that she loves working with the children and horses. "Something wonderful always happens to a person when they are in the presence of such wonderful, beautiful, large, yet gentle creatures."

Sandra Toombs is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, who works for the Maury County Board of Education. She recently received her certification for hippotherapy from NARHA. Sandy has been with Maury Magic Riders since the program's begining. She and her husband housed the program at their residence until we were able to find a place of our own.
